Premises Liability Curbed in Injury Case

SAN FRANCISCO - Handing a significant victory to landlords, a sharply divided state Supreme Court ruled Thursday that no matter how dangerous the property or how foreseeable the harm, a crime victim cannot sue for damages without proving the assault was caused by the property owner's negligence.
