Commission Backs More Legal Education for All

LOS ANGELES - A special commission that has been studying the State Bar's mandatory continuing legal education program for nearly two years recommended Thursday that hours be increased, an unpopular course requirement be dropped and exemptions for legislators, law professors and state lawyers be eliminated.
