SAN FRANCISCO - A fresh appointee to the state appellate bench has been named as a key figure in a whistleblower retaliation claim against City Attorney Dennis Herrera.
Therese M. Stewart, Herrera's longtime chief deputy, is set for a confirmation hearing July 17. Gov. Jerry Brown named her to the 1st District Court of Appeal's Division Two on June 28.
