Latham, Kasowitz win patent trial in language translation company case

A little more than two months after officially joining the Menlo Park office of Latham & Watkins LLP, Douglas E. Lumish scored a victory in a patent infringement trial victory.

A little more than two months after officially joining the Menlo Park office of Latham & Watkins LLP, Douglas E. Lumish scored a victory in a patent infringement trial victory involving two language translation competitors.

Following deliberations in Oakland late Friday afternoon, a jury invalidated three patents held by MotionPoint Corp., absolving Lumish's client TransPerfect Global Inc. from liability.
