Daniel P. Dean, a 20-year litigator from San Francisco, has been elected to a three-year term on the State Bar Board of Trustees, the bar announced Thursday.
Dean, 47, pulled 69 percent of the vote by lawyers in Bay Area and northern coastal counties to defeat Omid E. Talai, 32, an assistant district attorney in San Francisco.
"I'm very, very excited," Dean said in an interview.
