Two of the most outspoken judges at the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals complained in a published order last week about a U.S. Supreme Court decision reversing them in a murder case appeal.
It was a rare public rebuke to the high court from Chief Judge Alex Kozinski and Circuit Judge Stephen R. Reinhardt, who is often overruled by the justices but seldom writes on-the-record rebuttals.
