Court reporters won a victory last week when AB 788 was put on hold for the year. The bill proposes to allow purchasers of court transcripts to make paper copies for parties involved in the case. A representative for the bill's sponsor, Assemblyman Don Wagner, R-Irvine, said opposition prevented the bill from moving forward.
