Last year, Edwards Lifesciences Corp. won two major judicial decisions against Medtronic CoreValve LLC in patent infringement disputes involving U.S. transcatheter heart valve patents - one of the "hottest" new areas in the medical device space, Newburry said.


Both opinions were issued on Nov. 13, 2012.
