Chief Judge Vaughn R. Walker of San Francisco has denied a media request to broadcast the closing arguments in the same-sex marriage trial.

In a short order posted Wednesday evening, Walker said the case was removed from the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals' pilot project on audio and video recording before the trial started.
