Atmel Corp.'s former general counsel, Mike Ross, has reached a settlement to resolve a complaint against him for his alleged role in stock options backdating at the San Jose-based semiconductor company.
Under terms of the agreement, filed Tuesday, Ross pays no money and does not admit wrongdoing. Atmel's own insurer would pay $1.7 million to the company to resolve the deriva...
