A fourth patent prizefight between Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has been stayed indefinitely after the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to review damages obtained by the iPhone maker.
The smartphone rivals were slated to begin jury selection for a fourth trial in San Jose next week, but U.S. District Judge Lucy H. Koh halted proceedings late Tuesday evening.
