Moody's to pay CalPERS $130M for junk ratings

The settlement brings the pension fund's recovery of 2008-era investment losses to $1.2 billion.

The California Pension Employees' Retirement System has recovered $1.2 billion so far from suits related to investor losses during the 2008 crash, the latest addition coming from this week's settlement with Moody's Investor Services Inc.
