UC Berkeley School of Law dean takes steps down amid sexual harassment lawsuit

Lawsuit filed by former assistant to Sujit Choudhry follows internal investigation, discipline

Sujit Choudhry, the dean of UC Berkeley School of Law, announced he is taking an unpaid leave of absence Wednesday, one day after a sexual harassment lawsuit was filed against him.

The decision follows a campus investigation that originally docked Choudhry 10 percent of his salary while putting the alleged victim, his executive assistant, on paid leave.
