State Bar won't provide rates it paid outside firms

The agency says government code permits it to withhold the rates paid to outside attorneys

The State Bar has declined to provide the hourly rates paid to outside attorneys to defend the agency against legal claims in recent years from terminated employees, including former Executive Director Joseph L. Dunn.
