State Bar sections evaluate whether to support de-unification

The 16 volunteer-led groups want to provide comment to bar's governance task force.

The State Bar's 16 sections are actively evaluating whether they should urge the agency to split off its regulatory functions from its volunteer activities.

The sections, led by attorneys who volunteer their time, are undertaking the review so they can provide feedback to a bar task force considering the potential impacts of such a de-unification as well as other topics.
