Driver, car owner found liable for $45 million in fatal car crash

The driver of a car who fatally struck a single mother and the registered owner of the vehicle were found liable for a $45 million jury verdict.

A Los Angeles County jury has awarded $45 million to the estate of a single mother who was fatally struck by a drunk driver as she waited for her food at a taco stand, finding both the intoxicated driver and the registered owner of the vehicle who let her drive liable.
