Court Restricts Bush Ability To Hold 'Combatants' at Will
WASHINGTON - The Supreme Court on Monday issued a trio of historic decisions striking a balance between national security and personal liberty in the conduct of the war on terrorism waged by the Bush administration, denying the president carte blanche to hold foreigners and U.S. citizens as "enemy combatants" and requiring hearings for those detained.
