Title Co. Can't Keep Interest From Escrow, Judge Rules

SAN FRANCISCO - In a ruling that could change the way banks and title companies handle escrow accounts, a San Francisco judge on Monday decreed that Old Republic Title Co.'s practice of retaining the interest earned on investments made with escrow funds is illegal.
