S.F. Supervisors Agree to Settle Tax Suit -- Sort of
SAN FRANCISCO - Over the objections of virtually every public-interest group in the city, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors heeded the advice of the city attorney's office on Monday and agreed to pay out-of-town businesses $79 million to settle a lawsuit with the potential to drain close to $600 million from the city's coffers.
