LOS ANGELES - Once-prominent personal injury attorney James H. Davis continually "robbed Peter to pay Paul," diverting disabled clients' settlement funds from trust accounts into offshore companies set up to handle his doomed oil-well interests, Deputy District Attorney William F. Penzin told jurors Monday during closing arguments in the former lawyer's grand-theft trial.
