Pre-Screening Jeopardizes Nation's Freedom

Forum Column - By Ann Brick - The federal government has confirmed that it plans to take the unprecedented step of conducting systematic background checks on ordinary people, use the data to perform a security risk analysis and then assign a "threat level" score to each person. The targets of the program are the 100 million Americans who fly each year from the nation's airports. The name of the program is the Computer Assisted Passenger Prescreening System II, also known as CAPPSII.
