Pre-Emption at Issue in Tobacco Case
SAN FRANCISCO - Wading into another of Attorney General Bill Lockyer's battles in the federal pre-emption arena, the California Supreme Court agreed Wednesday to decide whether Lockyer overstepped his bounds by cracking down on a giveaway of more than 100,000 packs of cigarettes.
