ADA case against Hastings dismissed after settlement

A federal judge has dismissed an Americans with Disabilities Act lawsuit against UC Hastings College of the Law after the case settled.

SAN FRANCISCO - A federal judge on Monday dismissed an Americans with Disabilities Act lawsuit against UC Hastings College of the Law after the case settled through mediation in December.

Stephanie Sukhram, a graduate of the school, had accused it of failing to accommodate her disability: stage 3c ovarian cancer. She sought damages and declaratory and injunctive relief. The amount of the settlement wasn't publicly disclosed....
