Medicare to reimburse hospitals

A Los Angeles health care law firm has won a $700 million settlement for its hospital clients, including 200 in California, making it the largest settlement in the firm's 25-year history.

A Los Angeles health care law firm has negotiated a $700 million settlement in a Medicare reimbursement dispute with 500 hospitals nationwide, including more than 200 in California.


Jon Neustadter, a principal at Los Angeles' Hooper, Lundy & Bookman PC, said the amount is the largest settlement in the firm's 25-year history.
