Lawyer in mass-joinder litigation against banks to be disbarred

SANTA ANA - A key figure in an alleged mortgage-relief scheme in which homeowners paid thousands of dollars to join huge lawsuits against banks has agreed to be disbarred, and two other lawyers are in danger of disbarment, the State Bar announced Friday.


Two of the lawyers also are defendants in a civil suit brought by the attorney general's office and the State Bar accusing them of defraud...
