Judge tosses landfill suit

A Sacramento federal judge on Thursday tossed a lawsuit brought by landfill operators and waste haulers who wanted a Solano County anti-waste law deemed unconstitutional.

A Sacramento federal judge on Thursday tossed a lawsuit brought by landfill operators and waste haulers who wanted a Solano County anti-waste law deemed unconstitutional.

Operators of the Potrero Hills landfill, and waste companies that use the landfill, claimed that a county measure limiting the amount of out-of-county trash the landfill can accept meddles with interstate commerce and violates the Commerce Clause.
