9th circuit moves to expedite DOMA case

Moving to speed a decision on the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act's Section 3, which excludes valid state same-sex marriages from recognition under federal law, the 9th Circuit late Wednesday agreed to expedite the case, with oral argument set for September.
