Wells Fargo faces SEC subpoena enforcement action

The Securities and Exchange Commission has filed a subpoena enforcement action in the Northern District against Wells Fargo & Co. related to its investigation into possible securities fraud at the bank.

The Securities and Exchange Commission has filed a subpoena enforcement action in the Northern District against Wells Fargo & Co. The agency alleges the San Francisco-based bank failed to produce documents related to the commission's investigation into possible fraud in the sale of nearly $60 billion in residential mortgage-backed securities to investors.
