Judicial performance commission taps new leadership

Lawrence Simi and Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Erica R. Yew have been elected chair and vice chair of the Commission on Judicial Performance, the state agency that investigates and disciplines judges for misconduct.

The Commission on Judicial Performance has elected its first non-lawyer as chair, it announced Friday.


Lawrence Simi, who was appointed to the commission that disciplines judges for misconduct in 2005, is retired from the public relations department at Pacific Gas & Electric.
