Bad-Faith Referendum to Be Submitted

SACRAMENTO - An insurer-led coalition today will submit petitions to qualify for the March 2000 ballot a referendum to overturn compromise legislation that would restore plaintiffs' right to sue defendants' carriers for bad-faith claims practices, informed sources said.
