Official: Pension System Needs to Be Revamped

Los Angeles County's retirement system should be revamped because in some cases employees are eligible for service-connected pensions - which are 100 percent of their salaries - when their health problems or injuries did not actually happen on the job, the county's treasurer-tax collector said.
