Council Approves $950,000 Contract for Manatt's Help
Brushing aside objections that more of the work should have been done in house, the Los Angeles City Council has increased to nearly $1 million the fee to Manatt, Phelps & Phillips for defending the city against a lawsuit brought by doctors who contend their West Los Angeles office building was wrongfully demolished following the Northridge earthquake.
