DA's Past Won't Cause Hiring Change
Even though it hired a prosecutor without knowing he had been found civilly liable for a stabbing death, the Los Angeles County district attorney's office said Thursday it has no immediate plans to start conducting extensive background checks of job candidates before they are offered positions.
