Considerations for the State Bar board

On the agenda for the Board of Trustees' regular meeting Friday is a discussion item proposing the appointment of a special commission to evaluate and recommend improvements to the State Bar.

On Dec. 12, the State Bar of California announced that it is working with the California state auditor on an independent examination of the bar in 2015. The state auditor performs similar reviews of the State Bar bi-annually as a matter of course, and the resulting reports provide a candid and continuously open window to the organization.
