Skadden advises Hologic on $3.7 billion buy

Skadden advised Hologic Inc. on its $3.7 billion acquisition of Gen-Probe, a San Diego company that makes medical testing products.

California partners at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Affiliates represented San Diego-based medical testing products company Gen-Probe Inc. in a $3.7 billion acquisition by Massachusetts-based Hologic, Inc.


The deal will see Hologic pay mainly cash to buy Gen-Probe's outstanding shares at $82.75 each.
