Will expected confirmation be last for 9th Circuit?

The Senate is poised today to confirm U.S. District Judge Jacqueline H. Nguyen to join the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, although it's unclear whether she'll be the last addition to the circuit this year.

WASHINGTON - The Senate is poised today to confirm U.S. District Judge Jacqueline H. Nguyen to join the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, but it's unclear whether she'll be the last addition to the circuit this year.


There is little doubt that Nguyen, 46, will win approval. Democrats control 53 seats in the Senate, plus she was unanimously confirmed to the district court in 2009.
