SAN FRANCISCO - Chief Judge James S. Ware of the Northern District said Saturday that he will step down in August from his leadership post. Ware gave no reason for his early departure from the chief judgeship, which he assumed last year. He said U.S. District Judge Claudia Wilken will succeed him.
