California Western names new dean
Niels B. Schaumann, law professor and vice dean for faculty at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minn., will take over as California Western's dean/president on Aug. 1.

California Western School of Law in San Diego has tapped a Minnesota law professor and expert in copyright law and federal securities regulation as its new president/dean.
Niels B. Schaumann currently serves as professor of law and vice dean for faculty at William Mitchell College of Law, an independent law school in St. Paul. He will take the new position Aug. 1.
