Rutan partner retires after 30 years for Mormon mission to Africa

David Larsen will serve as an associate general counsel, hiring and supervising local lawyers in 39 African countries.

The last time David Larsen left for a Mormon mission was in 1966 when he was 20 and took two years off from college.


On Thursday, after spending the past 39 years as a partner at Rutan & Tucker LLP in Orange County, Larsen retired to fulfill a lifelong dream of returning to full-time service for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
