Judges sound off on their decision to not seek reelection

Seventeen superior court judges across California have decided not to run for reelection.

Ten men and seven women in black robes across California have decided not to seek reelection to the superior court bench, according to county data on judicial races finalized this week.

Ten are former prosecutors, though not exclusively, and their tenures range from eight years on the bench to just shy of 36 years.
