Brazilian neurosurgeon wins $21M arbitration award

Medical device company NeuroSigma was ordered to return $21 million in stock compensation it unlawfully took from a consultant, an arbitration panel ruled.

A Brazilian neurosurgeon accused of stealing secrets on medical trials that use deep brain stimulation to induce weight loss was cleared of wrongdoing by an arbitration panel and awarded $21 million in company stock wrongfully taken from him.
