Hacked court may get funds

According to the Tehama County Superior Court's executive officer, the court suffered a 'complete deletion of the court's online infrastructure' in July, losing primary and backup data on everything from case management system information to citation documentation.

A one-time supplemental payment of $272,000 could be provided to Tehama County Superior Court later this month when the Judicial Council holds its next meeting.

The payment was unanimously recommended late last week by a subcommittee after the court requested nearly $500,000 to fund an ongoing recovery from a major cyberattack.
