High-tech work environments at very reasonable costs

In the Kosmont Cost of Doing Business Survey(r) Santa Clara earned the Very Low Cost $ Rating (highest is $$$$) and San Jose received a Low Cost $$ Rating. These ratings reflect Silicon Valley's low median business tax rate of 0.002 percent, as opposed to 0.024 percent for Central and Northern California as a whole. Both communities received Low Activity Ratings, indicating low levels of public-private joint ventures.
