Sanction Sought Against DA in Ordonez Case

Contending that the Los Angeles district attorney knew as early as 1997 that Rampart Division police officer Rafael Perez had lied in two cases, the alternate public defender Thursday asked the Superior Court to sanction the district attorney for allegedly suppressing evidence that could clear hundreds of defendants allegedly framed by crooked cops.
