Melis Resigns State Bar Post, Joins Institute
The chief financial officer of the State Bar of California, T. William Melis, has resigned. Melis, whose last day was Friday, served as the bar's senior executive for administration and finance since 1987. He will assume a similar post with the Packard Humanities Institute in Los Altos, which supports research and preservation projects in the humanities.
