L.A. Judge Who Ruled in Homosexual-Outing Case to Retire From Bench

County Superior Court Judge Kathryne A. Stoltz will leave the Van Nuys Courthouse this month after 23 years on the bench.

LOS ANGELES - County Superior Court Judge Kathryne A. Stoltz will leave the Van Nuys Courthouse this month after 23 years on the bench.

Stoltz, who formally steps down in February, will use accrued vacation time to jump-start her retirement plans. Her last day on the bench is Dec. 19.

"I hope to travel, relax and enjoy [life]," she said.

First on her itinerary is a Caribbean cruise. She and her husband have already booked the January trip.
