July Bar Exam Saw Unusually High Pass Rate Despite Quake

An earthquake in Southern California was not enough to rattle July Bar Exam takers it seems. Those taking the state's Bar exam logged the highest pass rate on the test in more than 10 years.

SAN FRANCISCO - An earthquake in Southern California was not enough to rattle July Bar Exam takers it seems. Those taking the state's Bar exam logged the highest pass rate on the test in more than 10 years.

Of the 8,637 applicants who sat for the Bar exam, administered July 29, 30 and 31, 61.7 percent passed, the most successful group since 1997, when there was a 62.9 percent passage rate.
