Loyola throws Champions of Justice bash
Loyola Law School's Civil Justice Program recognized two Los Angeles-area lawyers during its ninth-annual Tribute to the Champions of Justice dinner on Oct. 4 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The event, which drew about 400 attendees, honored individuals who have made strong contributions to the civil justice system. The dinner honored Christine D. Spagnoli, a partner at Greene Broillet & Wheeler LLP in Santa Monica, and Paul R. Fine, founding partner of Los Angeles-based Daniels, Fine, Israel, Schonbuch & Lebovits LLP. Spagnoli works in personal injury and product liability, and Fine's areas of expertise include catastrophic personal injury, construction and insurance bad faith. "They are defenders of the Constitution, guardians of our liberty, advocates of just causes (no matter how unpopular), protectors of the powerless and wise counselors of our society," the ceremony program said of the awardees. — Andrew McIntyre
