Fenwick guides $1.5 billion Finnish game company deal

Firm helps with the sale of 51 percent of Supercell Oy to Japanese communications giant Softbank and game developer Gungho.

Fenwick & West LLP represented Finnish mobile game developer Supercell Oy in a deal to sell 51 percent of the company to Softbank Corp. and Gungho Online Entertainment Inc. for $1.53 billion.


Supercell also had counsel from White & Case LLP in Finland. Overseas attorneys at Morrison & Foerster LLP represented Softbank and Gungho.
