Hospice of Marin Expands by Acquisition
In an effort to broaden the scope of their charitable activities, Hospice of Marin and Hospice By The Bay have united. Hospice of Marin, which serves Marin and Sonoma counties, has acquired the San Francisco-based nonprofit group. The combination will expand Hospice of Marin's reach into San Francisco and San Mateo County, and it will boost Hospice By The Bay's fund-raising efforts, says Jerry Peters, an attorney who represented Hospice By The Bay on a pro bono basis.
